Why do I get an error trying to OK out of the Farm Edit Window that says one date's not later than another?
Problem Description: When trying to OK out of the Farm Edit window, NutMan gives a mysterious error message similar to: "Spring 2002 is not later than Fall 2003". A true enough statement. But what's the problem?
Answer: This happens when there is crop rotation data in the plan dated before the start date specified for the plan in the Farm Edit window. The typical way people get in this situation is to first enter their crop rotation data and then go back and try to change the plan date to a later time. You can do this, but only if you first remove all the crops from the plan that come before the new start date. We realize this is an inconvenience because planners would like to revisit a multi-year plan at some point and update it. And it would be nice to just shift the start date forward without undoing the earlier data entry. We are working on a fix that will permit this. But for now, your only option is to remove all crops that are before the new start date.
